He currently serves as Chairman – Gastroenterology & Hepatology (Pan Max) and Head of the BLK Institute for Digestive & Liver Diseases at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi. He is widely regarded as a pioneer in the development of advanced gastroenterology and therapeutic endoscopy services in India.
Dr. Ajay Kumar has over 39 years of rich clinical and leadership experience in gastroenterology and hepatology. He has played a key role in transforming gastroenterology services into high-volume, high-acuity centres of excellence across multiple institutions. His expertise includes advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, complex hepatology cases, chronic liver disease management, portal hypertension, gastrointestinal bleeding, and pancreato-biliary disorders.
